. . . actually, he didn't keep the blank white 'squares', per se, they sort of evolved into the primary shaped boxy font of the book cover's title letter/characters .. 'wipe that clock off your face' and .. the 'color strips' around the squares - became the actual hue or color chart range of the title letters.

Brian has alot of artist friends and keeps a big collection of their work around, (probably collected thru trades), which - he is just as happy to show a visitor, as he is to show his own work. this is an early BRENDAN CASS. Brian Belott studio visit,

this vintage record is actually pretty special - its a "recordio" - a home recording someone made a long time ago - and it's actually quite a rare, real "found" sound - something else Belott collects besides "found" images is apparently "found" sound !
His PICTUREBOX book: 'WIPE THAT CLOCK OFF YOUR FACE' is accompanied by a DVD/CD that includes a full length sound track complied solely of "found" sound!
and in fact, BRIAN BELOTT, and partner PETER PEZZIMENTI host a "found" sound program on wps1 ART RADIO.
