“Aby Rosen has agreed to pay $7 million to settle allegations that he failed to pay sales and use taxes on art purchased by two of his companies . . According to the attorney general’s office, Mr. Rosen used two companies .. to purchase more than $80 million worth of art between 2002 and 2015…
Purchased works in the case include a $9.1 million painting by JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT, a $5.3 million piece by ROY LICHENSTEIN, and works by ANDY WARHOL, DAMIEN HIRST and CY TWOMBLY, among others.”
