Brian and Marie know each other from their school days, back in the glory days of RISD.

the mics were underwater. CHIPPENDALE was in the water. improvising.
NICHOLAS STEINDORF was creating digital sampling loops – on the computer, as the water sounds were sent back to him.
together, seriously . . they made beautiful, raw intense music. everyone was transfixed.

CHIPPENDALE . . power drumming
things definite got crazy, the ambience was wild, the lighting magical. the shallow waters of the pool, the random floating flotsam.
at one point Chippendale took on a cloak, and proceeded to . . what else: sink.
and the water was definite . . flowing.
the water was rainwater, bye the way. collected by a series of pipes from the roof.
‘water’ sounds.
