Born in Niigata, Japan in 1937, KUBOTA moved to New York in 1967 at the invitation of FLUXUS impressario GEORGE MACIUNAS . . .
Married to NAM JUNE PAIK . . . KOBUTA, who died in 2015, is also a key figure in the development of the new video medium . . .”
